History and Patriotic Celebrations
Desiring to inspire unwavering faith in God’s power and providence in the hearts of our students, CHS hosts special history and patriotic celebrations. We creatively teach our students that the Lord has and continues to work through individuals to further His purposes on earth.
Noah Webster defined patriotism as “…the passion that aims to serve one’s country, protect its rights, and maintain its laws and institutions in vigor and purity.” Patriotic programs at CHS aim to awaken in our students a deep gratitude for sacrifices made by previous generations and to arouse a fresh zeal to serve our nation now and see America return to the Biblical principles upon which she was founded.
“…we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done…Then they would put their trust in God and…not forget his deeds but would keep his commands.” (Psalm 78:4,7)
